1. Deskless worker enters GEO fenced area
After the manager created the GEO-fenced area and uploaded using FILE13.
The worker receives instructions via phone/tablet and enters the area while being verified using GPS.
Hereafter a specific workflow is can be activated.
2. Worker's location is verified by BTLE beacon
In an area with multiple assets, that has to be serviced, BTLE beacons are used to verify the worker has entered a specific zone whereafter the applicable maintenance workflow can be activated.
3. Worker scans QR code (it can be NFC)
When standing next to an asset, a QR code (or NFC tag) is scanned and FILE13 will unlock the correct workflow whereafter the worker can proceed with the service steps.
4. FILE13 verifies user, place and time
5. Technician services the equipment
Deskless worker completes correct steps as per the pre-definedFILE13 service workflow.
He/she has access to online manuals which can be uploaded and linked to the specific equipment make and model.
6. Technician logs tasks and values
The worker captures completes each step and logs it on their mobile device:
- Mark off tasks
- Enter readings
- Log exceptions
- Take photo evidence
7. Technician takes photo evidence
Photo evidence is very useful for showing the work status to management and capturing the state of the equipment which helps with dispute resolution.
8. Manager receives notification of work completed
The system logs each service and keeps a record of each asset’s service history, when it was serviced, by which deskless technician and if if the necessary steps were followed to address any exceptions.

Hungry Lion
We have been using Bloodhound’s FILE13 for training, operations and new store builds since early 2018 because of the increased flexibility, transparency and productivity it offers. Bloodhound’s ability to create a solution to address the specific needs of the company, coupled with the dynamic flexibility of FILE13, made Hungry Lion’s decision to switch to Bloodhound an obvious one. The increase in efficiency and a cost saving of more than 30% were welcome added bonuses.

“With the previous solution and GPS location tracking, fieldworkers would stand at one unit and service only one unit. With FILE13’s geofencing feature, it automatically picks up all the units in that environment that have to be serviced. Service workers cannot manipulate how many units were serviced for example servicing only one unit but claiming they have serviced ten units. This also eliminates payment disputes as payments are now made for the correct number of serviced units”
